One word to describe the experience?
Chaotic.
But the good kind of chaos.
The kind of chaos that just makes it all worth while seeing the models walk in a discplined line as they parade designer pieces down the runway.

First of all, I once again apologize for the lack of posts on my blog... I've recently just gotten back from a vacation in the sunshine state (Queensland) and I've again, fallen victim to neglecting this blog.

I write to you all with sadness on my behalf,
today I received a phone call from one of my College course coordinators (yes, I successfully got accepted into Bachelor of Design! :) and they called to inform me that someone has taken credit for my recent photoshoot- 'HARD CANDY' claiming it as their own, and handed it in to the SAME college I'm enrolled at in order to succeed into the same design course as me.

Obviously I felt a wave of emotions. I'm shocked, disappointed and flattered all at the same time. Though this isn't the first time this has happened to me, I've fallen victim of this same incident back when I did a muck-around photo shoot with my best mate.

It just makes me think of how risky it is for us photographers, stylists, designers to upload our material onto the internet- I mean I've watermarked all my photos so obviously this idiot cropped them out to make it look like it's theirs.

Whoever it is, if you're out there reading this- shame on you.
Really?
How can you live with yourself knowing you've taken credit for someone else's work?
Can you really be proud of yourself for telling lies?
How did it feel like copy pasting images from MySpace and cropping the watermark labels thinking what you're doing is O.K?
It just amazes me how desperate people can get in order to get what they want.
Well, as a very wise Whitehouse Coordinator once said,
'Their future at Whitehouse Design College is obviously non existent'.

I've learnt my lesson,

THEDARKHUE TURNS 1!

Yes, this blog has officially turned 1! (last Tuesday to be exact)
This time last year I had no expectation nor even a sense of direction for this blog, I let creativity determine its own boundaries. And in this case, there are no boundaries.
And here I am today, here WE are today, still feeding off each other's creativity & inspirations. I'd like to give all of my readers & supporters a COLLOSAL shoutout, especially my girl Rio of MODERN FUERZA and Ingrid of VINTAGECRACK for being one of the many bloggers that inspired me and kept me continously lurking their blogs. Love reading what you've offered to the blog world girls, keep it up!!!

As for other news, these are my new babies, me and my momma- when we go out, we tend to shop crazy, and shoes aren't no exception.

And for other other news, next Tuesday (I think Tuesdays are my lucky days...) my photoshoot will officially spring into action. Just pulled clothes & accessories yesterday and I'm very happy to say we've got a wide array of options... can't wait to get cracking!

So my latest task is to direct an editorial photoshoot, booking my own models included.
Why? Because my *future* school Whitehouse Institute of Design has demanded so.
Only downer though- can't do the makeup/hair myself, have to get professionals to do it and they'll obviously have to be accredited in the mag. Though the styling and photography lies in my hands.
HOW EXCITING!

First off I'm thinking the whole rooftop location will make a good editorial spread- all I need to do now is try and hustle with my dad and let me borrow one of his buildings.

I'm thinking- HIGH fashion, literally.

I'm also thinking of covering street style- see what's out there in the streets and what makes people tick. Oh and, seeing as I've already presented a folio- this task will have to be in magazine format. I can already predict the stress I'm about to put myself through this 3 year course.

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss blogging... excuse my dear long absence everyone! I've missed looking through all your creative blogs, commenting and simply seeing what's out there nowadays. I felt like I went on a huge holiday but really, I've just been swamped with school and the joys of turning eighteen.
During my absence, I had to deal with pretty hands on things that I know I couldn't get distracted away from by the internet, so like what Miley did- I had to give up blogging for a while, except she decided to rap about it on youtube.

Anyway!!!
A few things has happened during my time off away from this, things that only photos can describe (and a sentence or two). That AND I don't want to be rambling about EVERYTHING that I got up to, because it would bore you all to death.

I GRADUATED!! 12 Years of school is finally over. And what better way to end the school studies than at our school formal :) (we call it formal, you probably call it prom)

I saw LMFAO & Black Eyed Peas live. If I could hold a super sweet 16 all over again, LMFAO would have to be my ultimate guest appearance. Think I'm about to buy a one-way plane ticket to L.A... and Will.I.Am, my man you are amazing! Look how close we were, the goodness of being an early bird and waiting for 7 hours.

Went to my first 18s+ music festival. PARKLIFE 2009 was by far one of the two most greatest musical experiences I've ever encountered (Kanye being first). Got to see the talented duo Cool Kids, Tiga, KASKADE, our very own Empire of the Sun and DJ of the moment A-Trak. I can safely say there is NOTHING like music festivals, the vibe and energy is beyond amazing. Can't wait for the next one in March!

I pretty had the most amazing weekend to date.
Friday I had my last excruciating modern exam, and I pretty much failed that which made me feel like absolute crap. On the bus home however, I get a surprise msg from a good mate of mine and tells me he bought me a PARKLIFE TICKET!!!!
My day flipped a complete 360.

Saturday me and my 80 close family & friends had an intimate dinner at Sheraton Hyde Park Hotel. Which looks like this. The view from the top pool balcony is exquisite. Does it remind you of NYC's Central Park or what? Good Morning Upper East Sydney, xoxo....

Thanks to my dear mom for booking us a room overnight.
Least we didn't have to trekk it all the way home at 4 in the morning.

Amazing, amazing night at Bar 333 and Chinese Laundry.
I love me my mostly-white club and electro music. Super stoked Ministry of Sound Mashed 5 played. Need I mention super lucky we managed to get into the guestlist- no 2 hour wait for us, no way! Perfect night. Minus all the sleazy mcdeezy's in the air.

I'm currently going through my HSC Trial Examinations,
for those of you who don't know, it's our second last exams for yr 12 (senior high)
And I'm absolutely going bonkers.
THE STRESS IS UNBEARABLE.
I can't even enjoy my 18th properly, two exams in one day!
Kill me now.
Although Saturday, I'm taking all the stress away on Clubbing!

first of all,
I KNOW.
I've been so lazy lately.
NO! I have not neglected this blog... just took time for personal thoughts on what direction I should take with this space.
I have decided, I will strive to establish this blog in the future with the hopes of somehow transforming it to be a little more professional, and by that I mean enough with my constant laziness and lack of updates.
ANYWAY
school holidays are officially over. I have spent my study break well by finding ways as often as possible to keep myself from touching any school work I intended to do last term. Yes I know, I'm a bit of a failure, but I couldn't help but go out, dine, shop and stay up late in the wee hours of the morning wasting my youth away on facebook.
These holidays however, gave me the chance to catch up with an old lady friend over a cute little coffee date spent well with catching up on the latest gossip to date.

(by the way- WE HAVE MATCHING SHOES. Except hers are suede and mine are leather. how cute are we? haha)

Seriously I don't know why she isn't a model. The girl's got the looks and definitely has her personality down right and set. For the curious ones, this beautiful goddess is named Athena, and I would link you to a personal blog of hers but I believe that is at the moment underway.
But as soon as it will be up and running, do me a favour lovely readers and bombard her with questions on WHY SHE ISN'T MODELLING!

It's always good catching up with old friends... and now, for the next few weeks I shall spend each day productively instead of lounging around the house trying to avoid school work. After all, this is my last year of school! And I'm sure to make it my best one to date.

My sincere apologies!
I've resulted to completely neglecting this blog... and I feel guilty because there is no other reason other than laziness.

But, now I am back!
And this time I will strive to keep this thing going. I do miss browsing around and reading all your creative spaces.

Anyway, yesterday I got me a new hair do... it's the shortest it's been since I was about 5.
And I do look about 5. Despite that I will be turning the big one eight in less than a month.

I actually had a little cry when I looked in the mirror knowing my 2 years of hard labour had been hacked off in less than 5 minutes by an annoyingly talktative hairdresser.

excuse my lack of blog updates,
I've been sick for about three days now and I'm not getting any better *tear
Hence why I haven't been able to blog about the usual highlights and spotlights on the regular.
I also am kind of sick of seeing the same old thing with blogs that update about the daily what I wore today, to the nylon spreads of some sort and the occasional editorial spreads on high society mags.
I'm kind of bored seeing the same thing everywhere.

This is why Ciara's Work stood out for me!
She looks fier-ccce. The song's bit ancient (having said that I downloaded it last year, lol thanks to ya'll underground hiphop blogs) but the clip only came out this week on MTV.
To me she is probably the only artist of today that can rock high edge fashion and still look sexy dancing in it.
(Ok guys, Beyonce can too, but she ain't no Ciara)

I was kind of iffy on the fact that she did resemble Queen Beyonce in Love Sex and Magic,
but impressively styled clips like this put her on a whole other level compared to B.

Once again, the whole juxtaposition of high fashion against the rugged construction site works like a dime making Ciara look damn expensive.

Me and the fellas went to see this today.
Seeing Shia on screen reminded me of how much I loved him!
haha. no joke, for many of you that don't know, my only existing dream boy is the one you're staring at, ever since his Even Stevens days.

Might I mention, watching a dude flick with hot Megan Fox in it is never a comfortable thing with a bunch of guy mates around you- the fellas were howling like dogs the whole damn time.
Wouldn't blame them, if I could be reincarnated into another human being then it would exactly look like Fox.

Overall, the movie was amazing.
And while I'm typing this up- it's actually on TV right now, the usual talking up the media does- and the news definitely did it justice.
A MUST SEE!

Also, Optimus Prime is seen at his best.

p.s. Our own Isabel Lucas was not all that spectacular, don't know why she's getting all the hype. But I guess Americans just love us Aussies.

Last night, was our last ever school disco.
Yep, us year twelves rocked it out.

Thanks to my handy SLR I managed to take memorable shots of the night.

Such a good turnout it was!
Awesome to see the teachers get into the 'BACK IN TIME' Theme of the shindig.
We had some of the boys and girls dressed as the ratpacks from Grease, T-BIRDS and the PINK LADIES.
Personally I think best-dressed should have gone to my girl Jayne, who looked every bit like Edie Sedgwick (except without the beauty spot) with her fair share in 60s dance moves.

Overall, crazy night.

Current craze.

I can't stop listening to I love College as well as watching the clip.
He's the cutest ranga (redhead for the non-Aussies) I've ever laid eyes on.

So to my fellow Aussies we've been enormously blessed with the continuous public holidays and these past three days are no exception. 5 for me actually- my school's too kind with staff development days! Today me and my lovely family hit up Sydney's Taronga Zoo for a good chill day spent with only the most loneliest creatures on earth.
I say this because I believe no animal should be restricted into a confined space for the pleasure of human beings! They should run free and wild... for real.

MTV, I Love Thee/The Hello and Goodbye of the REAL Gossip Girl

I know this is extremely switching on to the mainstream side but this week is probably one of the best weeks for TV!

I mean, c'mon Andy Samberg hosting this year's VMA's?! Goodness me... he is such a Legend.
Plus, he cleans up well- all suited up. Appearing half nakey though, that's a totally different story...

There are too many stand-out moments to simply highlight, but I've got to mention that after months of being harrassed to read Twilight, I finally understand what all the Robert Pattison fuss is about... the boy is simply smokin', I mean, he's not up there on my top 3, but this dude has got some kind of sensual stare that gets the ladies. Talk about swag.

The best moment of the show for me however, was seeing two of my main men- Cam Gigandet and Shia Labeouf shake hands. I died in that instant. Best moment of my life. hahaha.
Seeing Zac Effron every 5 seconds however, was definitely NOT.
In conclusion I think this year's MTV awards are the best yet. If you've seen the show, check out the Best & Worst Moments for some comedic criticism.

And for the last episode of Gossip Girl...

Hoo-freaking-rah for those two. I must admit my dear eyes managed to overflow with tears. I've loved Chuck from the get-go and never doubted him, so it was only expected that he'd travel halfway around the world just to fetch Queen B her favourite things.

As for the REAL Gossip Girl... I don't want to give anything away for those who have not seen it,
but you are in for a rude awakening. Or not. Cause the culprit behind the crime is in fact quite a bit of an eye candy.
Let me just say it's none of the major cast members...

Saw this movie with my dear momma yesterday.
Absolutely dig it.

Couldn't expect anything less from a Woody Allen film though, so I knew this was bound to be one of those all-time, feel-good flicks.

To summarize the plot in basically less than 500 words...
It starrs Vicky and Cristina- two American tourists who both fall deeply in lust with the handsome and charming Juan Antonio Gonzalo (hot Spanish guy who's going out with Penelope on the real)- who has this unexplainable, indestructable sensual ongoing connection with his ex-wife Maria Elena (Pene).
So he's sort of like a playboy, much like so:

Penelope is amazing in it, must I mention she shines differently in Spanish films- her character adaptations are filled with more life than her English roles.
It's got the typical love triangle feel, but this one's got a unique taste of twists & turns.
It's a must watch for anyone who's simply feeling a little blue on the love level,
or maybe the complete opposite.
Either way Barcelona is spectacular.
Just makes me want to fundraise for World Youth Day with my youthgroup so we can finally make Madrid happen!
All hail Spain, it's in my blood.. ahh the beauty of being a Filipino! (lol)

This weekend as well as the next few days are going to be packed once again,
so I may fail to update the blog, therefore this post will be a little longer than usual.

Thrifted Lace Top, Self-made Pleather, Sportsgirl purse & leggings

This week has been good so far.
Minus all the assignments being poured in right now, and my continuing struggle to stay organised.
I've got to stop procrastinating, or at least leave it on pause for a bit-
this is really the first peak of chaos in year twelve.
Assignments now, exams soon, majors sooner!

Anyway, on a lighter note.
I thrifted this magnificent number a few weeks back,
and might I add, it's perfect for the season. (it is nearing Winter here in Aust.)

Today me and my two close ladies browsed around local chain stores and we noticed the whole trend of layering Crucifixes.
My mum's a great believer of faith and she has this astonishing respect for the symbolic cross, she's not a big fan of it being made into trendy jewelry for fashion purposes.
That stuck to me since then.
I never decided whether to abide by her belief, or simply just see the jewelry designs in an aesthetically pleasing point of view.
Frankly, it isn't much of a bother to me, the only thing that has managed to slightly tick me off is thanks to the original Givenchy chains, chain stores much like DIVA, or GLOSS are now knocking off the same style which for sure will be rocked out by tweens all over town.

Another nuisance that has sprung up is Kanye's leaked clip to his latest, Paranoid.
Now, I'm a HUGE Yeezy fan, I admire the genius fella.
I'd say view the clip first, for simply reading my criticism on without having watched the video will not only make myself sound precisely picky, and also quite a bit of a Riri hater (I'm not, she just bothers me).

Here it is- Mr. Kanye West's 'Paranoid' predictably featuring Rihanna as the video girl:

I could go on with the numerous things that annoy me with this clip.
But first let me state that I'm a fan of both Kanye's and Rihanna's.
Just more biased on Kanye.
One thing that is of an ultimate annoyance to me is Rihanna and her Michael Jackson-ass, Edward Scissorhands 'do. The girl is gorgeous, and we all know her beating only made her popular and has allowed her to switch into ultimate bad-bitch mode, but seriously, the sky is toooo high! Lower down the mohawk hun.
Secondly, she is not doing anything respectful. Well in my opinion at least. She's lowered her classiness down to almost soft-porn video girls out there by caressing herself simultaneously, I mean fair enough if the song had something to do with any sexual innuendo whatsoever- but it DOES NOT!
Thirdly (and lastly- believe me I have so much more) but damn do Yeezy and Riri both freak the hell out of me whenever that laughing sound comes up.

I'm glad this clip got leaked, it only emphasized that Kanye needs to get his directors right as well as his concepts.
I had high expectations for this song, because it is one of my faves on the album.
Overall Yeezy is still the man.
And I should stop hating.

I remember walking around Botanical Gardens back when I was a newbie to this blessed country.
9 year old naive little girl completely astounded on the breath-taking peaceful nature of Circular Quay.
There's something about street fashion photography, it's almost like a celebration of the subject's surrounding, a way to show off their beautiful country.

I really need to head up to the city for some inspiration,
I might just walk the whole Botanical Gardens one more time,

I'm back!

Well I've officially been back from my retreat since last Wednesday but I only had time to update now.

Retreat was crazy fun. Some activities were of course lame, and free-time rules of not being able to stay inside our cabins were damn ridiculous. And it's laughable how teachers still attempt to bring everyone closer together when people just don't like each other, they haven't for 6 years and they're not about to become the best of friends within three days lol.

Oh we got to take our big year twelve photo, quite emotional when you think about it,
it's our second last photo as a grade.

Ahh isn't Collaroy beach beautiful.
It's still looks the same from staying there for camp back in '05 & '06.

Of course, like any camp, there had to be mischieve involved.
The fellow ladies and myself had a fair share of pranks that will be left in secrecy until further announced. Believe me, I'd love to share it with you all but until we give the heads up to the pranked victim, everything remains in confidentiality.

Yesterday I came across one of the most thought-provoking blog posts I've seen in quite a while. Though it was not long in length, (frankly I sometimes wonder why I even bother as well as others when posting long ass entries when the attention span of bloggers are quite short) it is a great entry that questions not only bloggers out there, but any other plain, simple or complicated human being out there in this surreal world.
The post is titled as 'WHO ARE YOU WHEN NOBODY IS LOOKING?"
Quite an attention-grabber, but what this intellectual lady has got to say is definitely true to its core.

She's no stranger in saying what others are afraid to say, so I advice you to go and check this one out. She's tackled the mainstream phenomenon and has managed to risk her place in the blog world, no matter how much hate might come her way.
(Although we all know hate only comes to those who prove a truthful point in which people are too delirious to realize)

In other news!
I have to sidetrack and splurge on a mini rant.
I'm at a point in my school life where so much work is being poured on me, and I feel like there is just not enough time to get all my major works done- to be exact, in three months, they all have to be fini.
My drama major and my art major for example.
I have three majors in total, and not one of them have a set concept- I have the tendency to renew my ideas and go off into multiple directions.

I'm freaking out because I have a shady idea on what medium to use-
I want to do all sorts of crazy stuff for art, mixing photography with watercolours,
bold avant-garde costumes for drama,
and well my textiles major is prettty much on a stalemate since I'm way too jam-packed with the other two.

The drawings all over this post are rough sketches and ideas for my drama and art majors.
Frankly I don't think I have enough control over relying on watercolours as my main medium for art, I just don't know what to do!
I just feel so damn helpless.
I should'nt have chosen such gruelling subjects, and my advice to any junior high school students is to estimate the amount of work that will be hidden in senior subjects, for some of them may seem like a fun elective to take- little do you know the horrible major expectations are just lurking around the corner.

Ah.. enough ranting, to some of you I've gone a tad overboard with the amount of text on this post which will probably result in the lack of readers,
I don't mind though, the interest rate on this site is the least of my concerns,
just had to release some boiling pressure and headaches inside of my exhausted brain (lol)

In other news, one of my mates Twittered me the link to the new spin-off show to Gossip Girl.
It stars Brittany Snow as Lily van der Woodsen back in her scandalous, promiscuous teenage days- ofcourse it's set back in 1980s Los Angeles.
The show is called "Valley Girls" and it's pilot is actually the next episode for Gossip Girl's 24th run on its second season.
Confusing? Watch instead.

I'm more excited on seeing the costume and set design.
Being a huge 80s fan (thanks to my DJ dad) I'm even more excited on the music they'll be featuring.
The Cure anyone???
Oh and I'm also glad Australian tv is catching up with the U.S, well regarding Gossip Girl that is.

What a shocker.
Although it does not come as a surprise that once again, Supre has managed to spoil the latest trends and of course, over price them at the same time.
I simply don't think $45 is worth for a pair of fake tie-dye jeans,
let alone do justice to possibly one of the most wicked comebacks from the 70s.
I'd say, if opting for a pair of tie-dyed jeans, DIY.

Got this last week and for some reason, I only waited until yesterday to hurriedly rip up the plastic that was holding back the treasures that this magazine possessed.

I'm a huge fan of TIME, I mean who wouldn't be- it is both intellectual and inspiring, need I mention it tackles every issue from around the world- even the Fashion Industry (see annual issues dedicated to Styling & Design).

And this issue is exactly just that- inspiring.
M.I.A (aka Maya Arulpragasam) was crowned by Spike Jonze as one of the 100 Most Influential People of the World.

She shares the title along with our Man of the Moment Barack Obama, John Legend, Kate Winslet, Stella McCartney, Manny Pacquiao (fellow Filipino) and yes, even Mr. Zac Effron as well as other inspiring icons.

The articles are a must read, well at least for most of them.
It's a great way to show the world inspiration amongst the chaotic issues of today's society aka Swine Flu, recession, Ms. California vs. Perez Hilton, Twitter, unethical shenanigans, poverty and hunger (with that let's keep Allegra Versace's shrinking body parts).

Also, I'm quite proud to see a fellow Filipino mentioned in the issue, it's an honour for our country to have at least one person be recognized for their fair achievements knowing Philippines is kind of under some of the worst political figures.

I sort of have this typical feminine love for all things shoe-related.
It's been a while since I've tackled the mainstream phenomenon, so just to level back into reality I'd like to share the few things that have caught my eye (obviously in a positive way since these are first to be mentioned) on a good note.

The first lady rocking Lanvin kicks (push).

And the funky fresh trends of current '09.

I've always been a disney fan, and those primary coloured heels got me going gaga.
Instant want!

I don't care if they're men's, I'd still rock those.
Mini spikes, fringing, leather- the perfect kicks right now.

And those that kind of, well pretty much got me perplexed..

Only because, who the hell would wear them without at least socks on?

And these ones too because already PETA's gotten everyone to go naked,
yet we still have party-poopers.

Oh avant-garde.. how you surprise me like Cory Kennedy's sudden rose to fame in the past.
ANYWAY,
I know some of us already envy mens style and how they've got it easy in terms of the vast amount of choices they have thrown at them,
but these-
envious is an understatement.

Ahh... sometimes guys just don't know they've got it SO damn easy when it comes to fashion.

Last week I went shopping with two of my girlies and we started off thrifting, then going for the full throttle spree, one of the girls ended up splurging $200 on a pair of Tony Biancos. I can't blame her, the shoes were crazy amazing. I however, got these badboys for $40, yes- only.

This could possibly be the most outstanding musical film ever to be made.
My ultimate favourite classic.

Spectacular.
Did the Beatles justice.

Evan Rachel Wood is amazing in it.
Also, they couldn't have chosen a better male lead than Jim Sturges.
The vocals are just right, kudos to the director for avoiding the poppy voices (a lá Rent).

If I were to be in any film ever made (I wish), it definitely would be this trippy masterpiece.

I was thinking about bleaching bits of the jeans too,
just too scared I'll wreck it.

I don't think I've worn them since Yellowcard's gig back in 'O6 at Luna Park.

Anyway I don't think I'll be able to blog for the next few days,
tomorrow is the last day of school holidays meaning the weekend is reserved for an intense assignments cram session.

Productive Day/Done & DIY'd

Just got home from a spontaneous night out to a desert cafe which definitely wasn't our original plan- Fast & the Furious 4 at the cinemas however, was.

Our plans slightly changed due to the overwhelming amount of F&F addicts (even at a 9.30pm session) which by the way, made me very depressed since I've been in the mood for some kickass Vin Diesel flavour this whole week (I recently just watched Babylon A.D.).
Since we couldn't go and see Paul Walker and Diesel battle it out like the buff men they are, we had no choice but to take Fast & the Furious to the streets ourselves, illegal street race style! Haha. I'm only playing, my mate did however manouver like a maniac while our friend's other car revved up ready to take on some Paul Walker stunts. There really is nothing like escaping to the heat of the night- crazy car rides, hysterical mates & European electronica music involved.

It was a good night, definitely what I needed.

Anyway! Today I DIY'd an old pair of just-above-the-knee length jeans. And with gaining inspiration from a fashion photograph I managed to stumble upon a few weeks ago, I decided studs were needed to jazz up a boring old pair of daisy duke knockoffs (lol).

You have got to excuse my face in these pictures (and my lack of tush, lol!), I have not worn make-up for a couple of days now, and who could be bothered putting some on just for the sake of quick pics?
I know I couldn't.

I know the studs are crooked, and the reason behind it was I was in the middle of re-DIYing my booties when I had a slight change of heart and decided to whip out my scissors and start going apecrazy on these jeans in the last minute.

I wasn't too happy with the end result, and I don't think I am up until now. But maybe it just needs some getting used to? I don't know, whaddya think..

I've been a bit of a slacker lately on this blog, I've failed to update daily and I'm just quite thankful there are still people out there keen on reading (I think lol).

Like any blog site, you're bound to get haters taking the piss out of your creativity and twisting it to their own insecurity- yes this is current and for anyone who can relate, I say laugh & keep your head up ladies & gentlemen! Let's stick with ignorance is bliss. But, although there are pittyful absent-minded jokers who love to hate, there are also the lovers, who support and have a mature open mind about what's out there today in the blog world.

What can I say, I'm humbly thankful for one of the few most talented, gripping and clever bloggers out there that goes by the name of Ms. Rio Tapatio (visit Modern Fuerza). She has blessed me with yet another blog award, and I'm beyond grateful. Thanks luv!

I wasn't sure what 'Noblesse' actually meant until I found help from FreeDictionary.com, although the purpose and reason for this award is as shown:

I think my blog has achieved my own expectations, and by that I don't try to limit myself to one genre or style. Initially, I've always thought of a blog with a more journal-like aura to it, but to me, that's not exciting enough. Beautiful, relatable, feminine, young and has a stylish eye on fashion. I believe her blog deserves more credit & if only 'loves' exist to be given to those blogs that you absolutely dig, then I'm sure she's bound to have gotten all the luv by now.

Although quite young, her educated nature in fashion is impressive and is of the highest extent. Her posts are alluring, her style is fashion-forward and her blog definitely strives to be delightfully unique.

I could go on with a vast amount of blogs to mention, but these are the few that manage to catch my eye on a regular, they are talented ladies and deserve every bit of hit their blog gets! It's also great to see these bloggers add their own personalities and twists in their posts, and not stick to textless entries with only photographs most of the time, much like other bloggers are doing.

It's been a while!

As part of the many things I spotlight on in this blog, local talent is definitely one that continue to strike me; from model friends to Youtube videos of up & coming artists, whatever catches my eye, obviously ends up right here.
I'm not one to put a label my site, this blog simply reflects anything from high fashion, avant garde art, amazing discoveries and dope entertainment. Which brings me to my little featurette for tonight.

I recently found out that one of my good mates has been dancing with his crew for quite some time now, and to be honest, I wasn't as excited with the thought of it, because it didn't strike me that he was much into hiphop dancing. (lol if you're reading this E, you know I was damn surprised- jaw drops involved) I decided to check his crew's stuff out on Youtube, and well what do you know- they are crazy cool!
They know how to move, choreography is wicked and the choice in beats exceeds the limit of good.

Without further brouhaha, here's two members from the Zig Zag crew (including my good friend Eric- in purple), doing their thing to 'Jockin' Jay-Z'.

Time to ressurect our hidden love for Mr. Justin Bobby!

Hahahaha. So I walk into school this morning and one of my good mates Nat B. presents me with one of the most entertainingly comedic Paint-edited photographs I've ever come across. ME with Justin Bobby. Lol, it's safely secured in my wallet thanks to Nat, who told me to keep it there no matter what.
Now I know many of you either have a love, lust or intense hate regarding Justin Bobby but seriously, he cleans up well when he's bothered- all the more reason to gather a few shots of the reality star-turned model.

Tthe majority of you may think he is the most peculiar douchebag ever to come out of The Hills (except Spencer Pratt), need I mention one that's got the most perplexing fashion sense, but seriously I think his scruffy bad boy good looks are working well with the industry. From now on though, he should stick to modelling because it'd be well pathetic to see his face again ever on TV, there's nothing worse than a reality star trying to flood their face all over the media. Fashion excepted in some cases.

And the heading says it all. I've excruciatingly been feeling the full pressure of year twelve. No joke, the assignments and homeworks are beginning to pour down right before holidays, which start in like what- four days, which also kind of means I'm not in the mood for any school work, major-related or not. So excuse my often absences on this, I wish I could update everyday for I have SO much to share with ya'll, but really I should know better and put my school shit first. (excuse the cussin too - you all can imagine how annoyed I am with school at the moment)

I don't feel like spotlighting on anything in particular tonight, I was supposed to promote a few things on the site but that will have to wait until my sanity comes back (exaggerated). What's also update-deprived is my LOOKBOOK. I know the majority of LB users update their looks every time they go out, when they look their best just to show off their latest gadgets and all that jazz, but again, due to the collossal amount of work overload I haven't found time to update most of my sites. Although tonight, I will begin to make a change and pick up my act - hopefully the combination between being organised with work and play will kick off from now. And with LOOKBOOK, I begin.

Ms. Angela Kate of http://angelakatee.blogspot.com has warned me it is quite a shady idea that I post pictures of my major progress on this blog, for some people will not hesitate to reach for desperate measures and copy whatever they see on the internet. She was right, but at the same time, I think it's only fair to update my blog with my own DIY projects. Little note: studs, they look amazing and can completely jazz up a dull garment, but DAMN they can cause injuries like a bitch. I've been going apecrazy with studs lately, and decided to jsasz my wet look tights up with them (progress in photos above) which I promise will take proper photos once I have also finished jsaszing up my velvet-like booties. I've also kind of just made up the spelling for that 'jsasz' word by the way.

Alright well this post was completely insignificant to some of you but I couldn't help but release a mini-rant on school work & update my bloggy with somme piccys.
